(KRON) — It has been a violent past week in Richmond. Within the last seven days, police have reported four people have died in a series of separate and unrelated shootings.
The latest shooting in the city happened late Sunday night, according to the Richmond Police Department (RPD). Around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting on the 3400 block of Richmond Parkway.
Two victims were later located — each suffering from at least one gunshot wound. One victim died at the scene. The second victim was taken to the hospital and is “in stable but critical condition,” RPD said.
RPD investigators stated Sunday night’s shooting doesn’t appear to be related to the homicides that happened on Tuesday, June 18 and Wednesday, June 19.
The shooting happened at an apartment complex. An image captured at the scene (below) shows police presence as areas of the apartment building are blocked off with police tape.

As of Monday afternoon, no arrests have been made in connection to Sunday night’s shooting. RPD says anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the department at 510-620-6616 or call 510-307-8177 if they want to remain anonymous.
